Abbeywood Estate wedding photography
The Abbeywood Estate and Gardens are located near Delamere in Cheshire, and well known as a botanical garden. In the summer months, the gardens are a blaze of colour and there’s no better place to hold a summer wedding, with opportunities all around for great wedding photographs.
Earier in the day, the wedding ceremony was held at Ellesmere Port. Caroline and Phil were getting ready at separate locations but quite close to each other, so Lois went to photograph the guys getting ready, and I went to photograph Caroline and the girls. After the wedding ceremony at the church of Our Lady and St. Bernard’s in Ellesmere Port, we followed the wedding car to Abbeywood Estate, calling in along the way at Phil’s Gran’s for a couple of informal family shots.
The wedding reception at Abbeywood is held in the glasshouse, A light and airy structure which is ideal for wedding photography. Being a hot day, the doors at both ends were opened to stimulate a cooling breeze during the meal.
After the meal, the guests were really able to make the most of the warm evening sun, and we took a walk round the grounds with Caroline and Phil for some bride and groom photos.
Before long it was time for the first dance. It is odd photographing the first dance while it is still light outside.
With Caroline and Phil’s kind permission, we have subsequently use the images from this wedding to create a beautiful “Seville” sample album to show prospective clients.
It’s a lovely moment when Dad sets eyes on his daughter in her wedding dress for the first time. Meanwhile, over at Phil’s Mum and Dad’s house . . . .
Just in case it’s not immediately apparent what is going on in the above photograph, Phil and the groomsmen are watching a you-tube video showing how to tie the knot on a cravat.
Love it when the guests get a timetable for the day.
It’s game on and the flower girl is the first member of the bridal party to stride confidently down the aisle.
