This is a wedding we had been looking forward to since Lucy and Jason booked us at the Tatton Wedding Show over a year ago. They live in Bolton, but decided to tie the knot in the place where Lucy been coming for her annual holidays since childhood. The picturesque village of Cadgwith clings to the rocky Lizard peninsular, and is where Lucy and her mum and dad and bridesmaids got ready in the morning. As we were in our camper van, I decided to park the van in the car-park in St Ruan and walk down the hill rather than attempt to navigate the van round the narrow streets.

The wedding ceremony was held in the old and tiny church of St Ruan, and afterwards Lucy and Jason went to the cove in Cadgwith for some special pictures on the beach and on the headland known as the Todden. The weather was dry but “brisk” and before long we headed on to the fabulous Polurrian Bay Hotel for the wedding reception.
On arriving at the venue, the guests had already healthsavy.com established themselves in the bar – having arrived earlier in a chartered London double-decker bus – perfect for the occasion.
Lucy’s Dad did the smart thing and retreated over the road to the pub while Lucy and the girls were getting ready.
Meanwhile, over at the Polurrian Bay Hotel, Jason was making his own final preparations for the wedding.
It was a bit of a hike down to the cove for photos, but Lucy and Jason were determined. I thought the heels might have to come off for this, but I was wrong!
This is the dining room in the Polurrian Bay hotel decked out for Lucy and Jason’s wedding reception. It really did look superb and their choice of table decorations complemented the rooms elegance perfectly.
Jason and his guys. It was supposed to be just the guys but . . . .
Not wanting to be outdone, here are the girls.
Followed by a couple of nice Bride and Groom portraits.
