Didsbury House describes itself as a “small luxury townhouse hotel” which sums it up perfectly. It’s almost as though it was designed with wedding photography in mind. It is located on the outskirts of Manchester and is one of the “Eclectic Hotels” chain. I mention this because purely by coincidence, we have another wedding at a different Eclectic Hotel in Manchester coming up soon in May, making this a timely blog post – even though the wedding featured here is from last summer. Better late than never! North West England is an easy trip for us from Conwy in North Wales.

Louise and Andrew married in St James church in Didsbury on a fine sunny day. After the ceremony, the entire wedding party walked to the adjoining Parsonage Gardens for photos, before making their the short distance to Didsbury House for a well earned drink. The small luxury townhouse was packed to capacity with Louise and Andrew’s guests, and the reception meal was split between two rooms! The speeches were performed from the staircase so everyone could see and hear them.
After the meal we took Louise and Andrew a short distance in our car to another nearby park. Didsbury is well served for green areas! We had a walk around the gardens and made some more bride and groom photographs in the pretty evening sunshine. Then, after that it was back to the hotel just in time for the evening entertainment to get underway.
