Jennie and Dylan’s wedding took place on a fine summer day in Llandudno. They decided on a small family wedding, and the St George’s Hotel accommodated their wishes perfectly. Whilst this was by no means the smallest wedding we have ever photographed, with around twenty guests it was our smallest wedding of the year, and all the guests played an important role in their day.

The St.Georges Hotel occupies a dominant position along the seafront in LLandudno. It is grand Victorian building that has recently been extended by the addition of a number of new luxury bedroom suites on the roof. But when we arrived for the wedding, the scaffolding for the extension was all gone and the hotel was looking splendid.
Family guests arrived early, Dylan was there in good time to make sure all the arrangements and preparations were complete. Jennie and the girls pulled up in a stretch limo, and bought with them their son – dressed very smartly in blue suit to match the other boys, and Dylan’s nephew stepped up and presented the rings during the ceremony.
The steps of the St. Georges hotel make the perfect backdrop for the family group photographs and confetti. After all the groups were done, I walked with Jennie and Dylan to the sea shore for a few portraits. As it was a hot day, the beach area was very busy – there were even people bathing in the sea. Nevertheless, despite the crowds, we managed to grab some great images before returning to the hotel in time for the wedding meal.
We really liked the idea of the single large table set up for all the guests for the reception meal. The fabulous flowers used during the ceremony doubled up as centre pieces for the dining table.
