Lisa and David – Stockport Town Hall and the Swan Inn at Kettleshulme.
A fun weekend with family with a wedding in the middle is the way Lisa and David described their plans for their wedding day. The entire wedding party (all 24 of them) took over a country house near Hatfield in Derbyshire for the weekend and made a great family occasion out of it.

The house was big enough for everyone to have a space of their own, a great lounge area for the grown ups and a play room for the kids.
When we arrived, everyone was busy getting ready for the wedding. We were able to get some photos with the children, and then at the appointed hour we quickly worked our way through the list of formal groups. This was pretty much the only formal thing about Lisa and David’s wedding. They travelled together to Stockport Town Hall, no grand entrances, just a family gathering on the steps in the Town Hall for the wedding ceremony. The readings were pronounced by the boys, and in no time the ceremony was concluded. After a few photographs in the splendid Town Hall building it was off to the Swan Inn for lunch.
Check out those shoes!
The entire wedding party and our 3rd smallest wedding to date (the smallest being just the bride and groom, two witnesses and the vicar!)
Lisa and David met briefly with the Registrars to prove they are who they said the were, then walked together to join their gathered families for the wedding ceremony.
Well rehearsed reading by the lads.
The girls served as the ring bearers.
A wedding cake made of macaroons formed the centre of attention in the dining room.
