Shona and David’s wedding at Caer Rhun
Caer Rhun is situated near Conwy in the shadow of the Carneddeau mountains, so for a wedding in late autumn we probably shouldn’t be too surprised to have a drop or two of rain. And rain it did! But a drop of rain never spoiled any wedding day that we’ve been to, and Shona and David’s Caer Rhun wedding was no exception.
Shona and David’s Caer Rhun Hall Wedding
Shona and David embraced the rain and ventured out with umbrellas for photos. By the time had walked around the garden it was nearly dark and chucking it down so definitely time to retreat indoors. Inside, Caer Rhun Hall is inviting and warm, and the oak panelled dining room created the perfect ambiance for the wedding meal.
After dinner, there was time for sparklers and a few more photographs before starting the party with some ceilidh dancing. This included Shona and David taking to the floor for their first dance and to show everyone how it’s done, then everyone else joining in the fun.
As a footnote, this was the last wedding at Caer Rhun Hall for the winter months and until March 2018, as after this wedding the hall was closed for renovation works. Quite a bit of work had already been undertaken, including a luxurious new bridal suite, and we’re really looking forward to seeing the next phase completed.
Here are the pictures, starting at Shona’s parent’s home in Deganwy.
