Sophie and Kyle – Mere Court, Cheshire
Mere Court Wedding Photography
Every now and then it happens, and when it does we just have to go with the flow. Rain, and from the outset it looked as though rain was going to set in for the day. Did Sophie and Kyle allow the rain to spoil their wedding day? Absolutely not!
We arrived at Sophie’s Mum and Dad’s house to find the bridal preparations well under way, and the house a hive of activity.
At 11 o’clock we set off to the Methodist Chapel in Lower Withington to hook up with the guys around the time the guests would start arriving.
We had hoped we would get away with it, but it was not to be. Shortly before Sophie and her bridesmaids were due to arrive, the heavens opened and it started chucking it down.
Sophie arrived in a vintage split screen camper van.
Even the Minister helped out with brolly duties!
Inside – the chapel was heaving !
Lucky for us, the chapel in Lower Withington has a balcony. Given the rain outside, this seemed the ideal time to get the big group shot done in the dry!
Photographer in the rain, B&G in the dry.
An enthusiastic guest seizes this opportunity to lob confetti on the unsuspecting couple. Then it was off to the Mere Court Hotel for their reception.
Confetti bomb – done right!!
This is my favourite of the walkaround. I love the colour in the rhododenderons. It even works with Sophie’s bouquet!
Some of the guests were starting to get a bit frisky by this point.
Best man Danny did a good job with his speech. Come to think of it, he delivered good value all day.
After the speeches, an unexpected treat when Sophie’s sister and brother performed a couple of songs in Sophie and Kyle’s honour.
Finally, the rain had ceased. We fitted in a couple more Bride and Groom portraits in the hotel grounds before First Dance.
Another great wedding at the Mere Court Hotel – many thanks to Sophie and Kyle for having us there.
