Our second wedding of the year took place at at the Quay Hotel and Spa in Deganwy, only ten minutes from our base in Conwy. Eve and Aidan’s wedding landed on a lovely bright February day. But don’t be fooled, the sky was blue but the temperature was still wintery cold, and it was very windy. Not a good day for being outside for too long.

Lucky for us, The Quay Hotel in Deganwy is warm and comfortable and ideal for wedding photography in the winter months. Eve and Aidan had had a hectic few months in the run up to the wedding, having been blessed with the birth of baby Amelia just a few weeks before the wedding. However, on this day, they made life easy for themselves by having the wedding and the reception all in the comfort of the hotel.
We did manage to get outside for a few photographs, using the shelter of corners of the hotel and the rear courtyard to provide some shelter from the wind. Have to say, we were very impressed with The Quay Hotel, and we look forward to doing more weddings there in the future.
Eve and Aidan had a great day amongst family and friends, and we wish them every happiness.
It was good to bump into some of the other wedding professionals from our area, including Keena Makeup who created Eve’s make-up, florist Petals from Llandudno who created the beautiful bouquets and table arrangements, and Event Lounge, who provided the photo booth, and impressed us with their brand new sparkly dance floor!
